Happy What I Ate Wednesday! 🙂

I have two ‘set’ breakfasts:

Shakeology
OR
Egg whites, ketchup, and an Ezekiel english muffin

Yesterday, I just couldn’t bring myself to eat either of them. I don’t know what it was but I just couldn’t do it.

Then I began to think about the yummy breakfast all of you WIAWers eat.

I thought of nut butters, bananas, and then I remembered I had bought myself a treat last trip to the store.

Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Cinnamon Raisin bread.

Yes, it’s okay to drool.

Breakfast:

2 pieces of Ezekiel Sprouted Grain Cinnamon Raisin bread toasted with almond butter and sliced bananas.

Yum.

Lunch:

For lunch I had a Chocolate Shakeology shake with frozen blueberries, veggie protein powder, flaxseed, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk.

I sipped it while I finished up some work and then Manatee and I were headed over to pick up our niece for some bowling and Hannah-time before she headed back to college.

Snack:

I’m not proud of this one.

We are out of homemade beef jerky and for some reason, I was still having some major egg aversion issues, so Manatee gave me one of his go-to snacks (of which I don’t approve):

A highly processed, high protein, low fat Ostrich meat stick.

We ended up splitting it. Didn’t like it but needed something to tide me through bowling.

Dinner:

We were in Sun Prairie for bowling so decided to check out a local restaurant, Buck and Honey’s.

I ordered the Grilled Mahi Mahi tacos with a side of grilled mushroom and onions.

They were okay. Just okay. I liked the filling with the cabbage and the lime juice and what not. The fish was good but a little greasy.

It didn’t help that I was having total order envy.

Check out what Manatee ordered:

Seared Ahi salad.

Though the banana chips were super weird, the rest was amazing.

Do you often have order envy? Who’s the best order-er you know?

WIAW:

What I Ate Wednesday is a celebration of eating. We all eat. Good or bad, we put food into our mouthes, why not take a day to celebrate that fact and share your go-to meals and snacks with others?
