I was trying to think of a title that would fit this post, but when it comes down to it, we all need to give ourselves something different. Maybe its the gift of grace (and not my daughter), the gift of joy, or let’s stop being all hokey and dokey. Maybe you need to give yourself the gift of ignoring the pile of dirty dishes or that strange social requirement that you are supposed to shower every day. Or maybe it’s the gift of those Toms shoes that you have been wishing someone buys for you and you just need to buy them yourself. Or the gift that you don’t HAVE to take your kids to see Santa (because it’s a little creepy if you think about it) or to take them to Zoo lights because it sounds like a personal hell for you. Or the gift of writing a blog post when it’s truly the last thing you SHOULD be doing today.

I may be in need of all these things.

It’s been so long that my blog dashboard looks so ridiculously different that I am not even sure how this will look online. Or will it post online?

I don’t have any deep thoughts or recipes to share. My mind is tired and today is my day to rest and recharge. Because I let myself get frazzled and I don’t want to be a frazzled Christmas mom because I do love this season and how we can focus on giving to others and to ourselves.

Today I challenge you to give yourself a gift of whatever you are needing today. And I would love to hear what it is.

Happy Holidays my dear friends!
