Hi folks!

I wanted to check in again with some current meal plans and updates on the cookbook.

Photo Shoot

First, we had our second and final photo shoot this past Sunday.

The photo shoots were really fun and a lot of work. I was so lucky to have such great help. Erin, Lexi, and Rose helped me prep dishes, okay, they really did most all of the work, while I ran back and forth between the kitchen and the living room (where we shot the pictures). I was just a glorified hand model for most of the day. They also cleaned my kitchen about a hundred times. Gosh, I wish I had them when I was developing the recipes!

The shoot started at 9 and I think we were totally done by 4. I am really excited to see all of the pictures. Photographer Steph Kelly does great work. I think you are going to love it!

Meal Plans

I am trying to get back into the routine of posting my meal plans on the blogs. Mainly because I really love reading other bloggers’ meal plans. I find it interesting what people eat on a regular basis. I posted last week on my kiddo blog, A Life Well Fed.

As a side note: last week I lamented on how Baby G had given up on the high chair. True to her nature, as soon as I publicly proclaimed that, she went back to the high chair.

Here is what we are cooking this week at the Badger Girl household:

Dinners:

Pork Tenderloin with leftover quinoa, veggies, and spinach salad: Have you ever head of Wild Tree? I went to two parties this Fall where you would go and prep a bunch of freezer meals. The pork tenderloin was from the Wildtree party. It was really tasty! Funny story though: I remember it taking longer than directed last time (I split all my meals into two), so I upped the temperature and allowed for extra time. When it was supposed to come out, it was only 80 degrees. I was furious! I turned up the temp again and left it in for another 20 minutes. Ranted and raved a bit, checked again and it was barely clearly 90. Manatee asked me if I had the thermometer set right. “Of course, I…Oh.”  Yup Celsius.

Pasta Alfredo with Veggies and Chicken Sausage: this is a recipe for the cookbook.

Babysitter Meal #1: Homemade Pizzas and Homemade Garlic Bread: I’m going to have it all prepped so the sitter can just throw them in the oven.

Veggie Frittata and Hashbrowns: Last week we made a frittata and realized that it’s ridiculously easy and so good. Baby G wouldn’t touch it, but we are trying again. It’s also a great way to use up leftover vegetables.

Babysitter Meal #2: Jimmy Johns

Lunches:

Chicken Salad: We had a bunch of leftover chicken from the photo shoot so I made a big batch using my recipe from the cookbook.

Baked Falafel Take 2: Major fail last week so we are trying it again.

Chicken Noodle Soup Take 2: Another major fail that I am retrying.

Hummus and Cheese Quesadilla: Hummus is a favorite of Baby G.

PBJ

Misc:

Homemade Artisan Bread

Hard Boiled Eggs (and possibly egg salad)

Granola
