As part of the Foodbuzz tastemaker program, I get offers for free samples from different products. When Sabra hummus came a-knocking, I was quick to answer. When it’s not homemade hummus in our fridge, you can bet it’s Sabra and more specifically, Sabra Roasted Red Pepper Hummus.

At first, I thought I would just do a post about homemade pita chips or hummus with veggies, because Manatee and I eat that on a regular (cough..daily) basis. Then in a race to pack a lunch that was packed with protein and easy to eat, I threw some hummus and spinach in a pita and was out the door.

When lunchtime came around, I took a bite and fell in love. Now it’s my new go-to lunch.

Recipe Review: This is a great lunch (or snack) on the go. I work part time at a specialty cooking store and I can eat this discretely behind the corner. It gives me enough protein to make it through noon hour rush and keeps my hand clean in case someone comes up to the register.
I also made it for myself when I was cooking for a dinner party. So let’s say you need a little something to tide off hunger until the big Thanksgiving day feast, well here you go.  I know I will be making this for myself over the holiday season whether I am in the kitchen, at the store, or running errands. So simple, so healthy, and so tasty!
