Happy Healthy Blogger Thursday!
As always, I am super excited to introduce you to a new healthy blogger. Holly blogs at The Healthy Everythingtarian. We met through a blogging get-together and I feel like she is a kindred spirit. She runs, she writes, and she loves good food. And beer. And wine.
In addition to writing amazing recipes, Holly offers great insights on life and I feel like she writes about things we have all gone through and have all felt; We just can’t always say it with as much grace and humor as Holly does.
So without further adieu,
heeeerrrreeee’s Holly!

Hello Badger Girl readers! My name is Holly, and I write The Healthy Everythingtarian – a blog about food, exercise and most importantly, LIFE. I love life…a lot. As a fellow Wisconsin resident, I can attest that we here in America’s Dairyland LOVE our cheese even more than we love life.
And milk. And meat. And beer.
I am not ashamed to say I love them all too! Give me a basket of fried cheese and an ice cold beer and this girl is H-A-P-P-Y. But you may not know that us here in the Midwest are also at the forefront of some really cool local, organic farming initiatives. And we have vegan restaurants. And boast some of the best goat milk products in the world. And boast natural coops…and microbreweries…and lots, lots, lots of farms…and some seriously delicious restaurants. In fact, I will even venture to say that Wisconsinites are cool and well…kinda hip.
Seriously, you’re missing out rest of the United States. Come visit us up here, yah sure you betcha!
To prove the fact there will be healthy AND delicious food when you make the trip, here are three recipes I’ve recreated in my home kitchen inspired by menu items at some of my favorite Madison-area restaurants…
Sweet Corn Chowder
Sweet Potato Corn Chowder from Bluephies Restaurant & Vodkatorum (<- yes, you read that right: VODKATORIUM)
healthy chickpea chopped salad sandwich
roasted butternut squash and goat cheese sandwich
pb and mozzarella pizza
But while you’re here, let’s be clear: we’re eating cheese curds after that bowl of vegan corn chowder, mmmkay?
If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to leave a comment below or email me at [email protected]. Thanks for reading, and have a lovely day!
