I haven’t killed them yet!
And now for the plant that is on steroids (aka Miracle Grow). My cherry tomato plant has super-sized itself. Compare it to my meek little popsicle stick that was serving as a stake.
So, here’s my question to all of you gardeners out there: do I stake my tomato plants? Do I use those little cage things? Just leave them be? I’m clueless at this stuff but I’m determined to get some produce out of these plants. I would love to hear your thoughts.

I have always been a fan of the round tomato cages, but that might be hard within a pot?
I use the green stick stakes. But, it looks like you’re doing the same thing I do which is keep them in pots on the deck so last year I just tied the branches to the deck slats and used them to support the plant as it grew. That does mean you have to commit to the location though.
That’s a good idea! Thanks for the tip!
