Frozen blueberries, how do I love thee? Let me count thy ways…
- I love adding you to my cereal in the morning. Manatee eats you cold and loves how you chill his morning meal. I like to warm you up in the microwave for 45 seconds to 1 minute so that you are thawed and a little warm before I pour you over my bananas.
- I love snacking on you in the afternoon. I pull a few of you out of the freezer and pop you in my mouth as I am writing. I never chew, just let you dissolve in my mouth like an M&M, but healthier.
- I love throwing you in our magic bullet to make a berry lemonade smoothie after my morning run. I mix a half cup of you with a cup of lemonade and a scoop of protein powder. Sweet and tart, cold and refreshing. You are a great way for me to recover from the heat and get energized for the day.
- I love warming you up in the microwave and then topping French toast with you. It’s so much better tasting and better for you than maple syrup.
